I need reading suggestions, please.
GrantCraft’s ‘Funder Collaboratives: Why and How Funders Work Together’ (2009) is a great start. It points me to a good list of American publications. I’m looking forward, for instance, to reading Robert Hughes’ ‘Philanthropies Working Together: Myths and Realities’ (published by the Foundation Center in 2005) and ‘Donor Collaboration: Power in Numbers (published last year by the Philanthropic Initiative).
In the UK, there are some intriguing blog posts, but most of the ‘practical’ publications seem to focus on partnerships between Third Sector organisations and the public sector (‘Building Your Cluster’ by i-Social Entrepreneurs).
So far, I haven’t found any other general European material that’s been published.
So who else has already been thinking and writing about foundations and partnerships? I look forward to following up any more leads.
