I’ve been granted a 3-month sabbatical by my wonderful employer, the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.  Between 8th June and 7th September 2010 I’ve been given the chance to read, learn and travel.

For the ‘project’ part, I’m thinking about foundations and partnerships. Why should independent grant-making trusts get involved in partnerships? What works; what doesn’t? Who are the best partners? What are the benefits and what are the costs? What compromises are worth making?

I also get ‘personal’ time, so I’ll be travelling to the USA to visit family including my soon-to-be-born granddaughter!
